Big Horn Safari Company Botswana Botswana's Ghanzi District is located right in the Kalahari. This area is truly Africa's jewel for plains game hunting. Still widely unexploited for plains game, our areas border the Central Kalahari game reserve and support very large numbers of animals with outstanding trophy quality. The eland, kudu, gemsbok, blue wildebeest, red hartebeest, and springbok in this area are of a trophy quality not to be found any where else in Africa in such abundance. In the summer of 2004, my wife Li and I hunted these concessions for four days as a part of a quality assessment and research trip to our hunting areas in Africa. In these four days we took two eland, 33" and 35" (which are not spectacular for this area but still make the book handily, many 38" to 42" eland are taken regularly), a 14" springbok, a 42" gemsbok, a 25" red hartebeest, and a very large zebra stallion. We saw so many big wildebeest we got tired of looking at them. We saw approximately 10 kudu bulls over 54" and one that was easily over 58" (if only we were hunting kudu...well, there's always next time). --Mike Wodjenski Botswana Trophy Hunting Daily Rates ----NO HIDDEN FEES----
